The following positions are open at the Town of Skaneateles:
Parks Seasonal Employment:
Parks Laborers
Must have valid driver's license, able to perform light and heavy manual tasks, follow directions, self-motivator, and ability to interact with public.
Must be available some nights and weekends.
Waterfront Lifeguards
Must possess current American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding & CPR/AED Certificates. Looking for mature applicants who can interact with the public.
Available from the middle of June to Labor Day. Must be available weekends and holidays. All certifications must be up to date and a copy submitted with application.
Playday Summer Camp Counselors
Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 1:30 p.m. June - August.
Must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the program.
Must enjoy engaging campers in games activities and field trips. CPR/AED/First Aid Training will be provided

The Town of Skaneateles Water Department is accepting applications for Public Works Maintenance Worker
A New York Class D Water License is preferred but will be required after one year of experience. The position includes: trouble shooting water issues, repairing watermains and services, collecting water samples, and reading water meters.
Other required duties would be completing mandatory reporting for the Onondaga County Health Department and the Town of Skaneateles.
Must be able to perform light and heavy manual tasks, some mechanical knowledge preferred, self-motivated, leadership ability and ability to interact with the public. Applicant will be required to cross-train with other departments and will work directly with the budget office and engineering department. Overtime may be required. Preference to Town of Skaneateles residence.
Candidates will be subject to background check. Starting Salary would be $27.14/hour
