Swimming at Clift Park
**Last day of swimming for the 2023 season is Tuesday, August 22nd (1-3 pm)**
June 21st - August 22nd *TENTATIVELY* (Weather Permitting & Lifeguard Availability)
Hours of Operation: 1:00pm - 6:30pm (Weather Permitting) *Limited Hours on Graduation Day (6/25/23)*
Town of Skaneateles Residents - FREE with proper identification
(i.e.: Driver's License, Skaneateles Tax Bill. NO Transfer Station Tags)
Non-Residents - $5.00 per person
Clift Park Waterfront Rules
❖ Absolutely no swimming when Lifeguards are NOT on duty.
❖ Always obey Lifeguards, or you will be asked to leave.
❖ Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult when in or around the water and the adult must be within arm’s reach.
❖ Non-Coast Guard approved flotation devices will NOT be allowed.
❖ Properly sized US Coast Guard approved lifejackets are permitted within shallow and 1st raft buoy lines.
❖ Recreational Flotation devices are not allowed in swimming area (noodles, tubes, etc.)
❖ Stay within the buoy lines.
❖ No one is allowed to enter swimming area to open water swim.
❖ Swim tests are required in order to swim past the “shallow” swimming areas.
❖ Non-swimmers are NOT allowed on second raft (1st raft allowed with lifejacket and within arm’s reach of a supervising adult)
❖ Proper swim attire only! No cutoff jeans, shorts or street clothing allowed.
❖ No running or horseplay allowed on rafts or in the water.
❖ Diving and flipping off rafts is prohibited
❖ Do not swim under rafts or lifeguard chairs.
❖ No eating, drinking, or SMOKING in the swimming area.
❖ No glass is allowed in the beach area.
❖ No pets in swim area
❖ No alcoholic beverages permitted in the swimming area.
❖ Patrons are not allowed to use whistles near the beach area.
❖ Boating, Water-skiing, Tubing or Boarding is prohibited in swimming areas and within buoy lines.
